Right before the Easter holidays started, we got the task to create a film trailer. This was really special because it included our parallel classes. It all started with a simple worksheet that was givento us right at the beginning. Now we were able to get an overview of all the things we should consider in our short trailer. After reading, we got together in groups of 2 to 4 people and started discussing and debating about suitable topics for our trailers. That’s where the actual fun began. The next weeks we were writing stories, directing scenes and filming those with a lot of effort. We havereally gotten to be creative in those weeks. And then the day came…
On Friday, April 22nd, 2022, we finally got to watch all of our trailers in class for the first time. After we had seen all of them, everyone got the opportunity to vote for their favorite trailer. The two best trailers of every class were sent to the Oscar finals, which means they were presented in a room filled with all students from our parallel classes. After watching them all, we voted on the website with two votes again. The trailer of the horror movie “The absence of light“ won with the majority of votes. The group received the mini Oscar and an icecream voucher. In the very end, the winning trailer was shown to us again, which really rounded up the whole experience. After all, we can say it was really fun to do something else than the tasks we usually work on in our lessons.
